My Top 5 Travel Destinations

So like anyone, I have a bucket list. On that bucket list is 5 places I want to travel or revisit while my legs can still (thankfully) operate.

5. Rottenburg and Tubingen, Germany

Starting off the list is a strong one. Rottenburg and Tubingen are two of the most beautiful towns you can imagine. They make you feel as if you've stepped back in time. The medieval styling, the walls, everything just seems to come together to create this picturesque experience. Tubingen is located in southwest Germany, and is one of the three typical university towns in Germany. The city, during the school year, is made up of two-thirds students. So needless to say, they influence the culture and atmosphere of the town quite a bit. It's a great place to get the modern, young, and rising cultures that is coming out of Germany. Also Tubingen is only a short train ride away from Stuttgart, and the Black Forest. I've done quite a bit of research on Baden-Wurttemburg as a part of my German classes, and each time I look something up, it makes me want to go that much more. Rottenburg is very
similar as it is located right next to Tubingen. Southwest Germany is definitely I need to go to.

4. Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya

Kenya's Masai Mara has been featured on Animal Planet in the show Big Cat Diary. If your like me and you love animals, and this place isn't on your destination list you need to revise it. Kenya, Uganda and Botswana and famously known for their reservations as being premiere destinations for safaris. The Masai Mara is home to a great variety of savanna animals. African elephants, lions, cheetahs, leopards, warthogs, meerkats, gazelle, antelope, etc. I have always had a soft spot for

animals. Ever since I was a wee little man, I loved animals. I mean, I cried for two weeks straight when my idol, the crocodile hunter died (RIP Steve). And I just want not only help the reserve fund the further protection of these precious animals, but with the surrounding villages there is more than enough opportunity to experience traditional African culture. The goal of travel should be to expand your horizons, and I feel that this destination secures that aspect more than good enough.

3. Seoul, South Korea

South Korea has been a place I have always wanted to go because, well, I really don't know much about it. I mean, yeah I know extensive amounts about Japan, China, Vietnam, Taiwan, a lot of East
Asian countries and South Korea has just not every had that much resources available to myself. So  I want to get out see what South Korea has to offer. I know that Seoul is a booming city, and I'd be lying if I didn't enjoy discovering the cultures of the city as opposed to finding myself out in nature. Seoul is eye catching, Seoul truly could be the insight of my soul. I have also a handful of friends here in the United States who's family come from Korea, so for me to be able to experience the food, atmosphere and city life, the better.

2. Tokyo, Japan
Shinjuku, Tokyo

Okay look, I have a soft spot to Japan. Actually am still planning on maybe one day uprooting myself from the United States to live over in Japan. And along with that comes Tokyo. I love Tokyo. Is it expensive? I can see how people say that, it is a little. But oh my lord is it worth it. Every time I've been to Tokyo, I've only scratched the peeled an inch of skin away from what it has to offer. Tokyo is big, it is vast, and it supports almost every walk of life. Fashion geek? Harajuku, Shibuya, Ueno. Foodie? The food is amazing and has some of the top rated restaurants IN THE WORLD. Geek? Akihabara. Nightlife? Shinjuku. And that's just naming "downtown". There is so much to do and so much to see you can't go wrong with a trip here. You'll be more than thankful you went.

1. Kathmandu, Nepal

The ultimate goal: Climb Everest. While it seems a bit cheesy that I say that, truly I think it would be the most rewarding thing to stand at the top of the world. To know that I am able to do that. Kathmandu is also a fantastic city, while still recovering from the earthquake. Nepalese culture is so remote, so untapped by western society that many (and I know way too many) people don't even know what it is. Truthfully my opinion should be that Tibet and Nepal should be a single country, but that's for another day. To discover more, to push yourself in the worlds tallest mountain range. To experience adventure in the purest sense, that is why I want to go to Nepal. I want to eat like the natives, meet friendly people, and find myself in a truly enlightening place. To that, is why I want to go.
